We produced the UK’s largest event to commemorate the Royal Air Force’s most daring operation of the Second World War, 75 years to the day, with a gala screening of the newly restored classic British film.
‘The Dam Busters’, directed by Michael Anderson and starring Sir Michael Redgrave and Richard Todd, was screened on a 40ft screen in stunning 4K definition.
Dan Snow hosted the anniversary evening paying tribute to Wing Commander Guy Gibson and his comrades of the legendary 617 Squadron.
Guests included family members of the Dam Busters crew, former members of 617 Squadron, renowned historian Paul Beaver, plus a ‘bouncing bomb’ experiment and music from the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.
The Dam Busters with Dan Snow was a StudioCanal and Snappin’ Turtle production raising money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the RAF’s leading welfare charity.
“One of the greatest british films of all time in one of Britain’s greatest venues.
It’s going to be an unforgettable night of commemoration and nostalgia.”
